Yes. Internationally this is known as outplacement: support an employer provides to departing employees during a workforce reduction. We call ours a Career Transition Program because that's what it feels like from your employees' side: benefits guidance, reskilling and job-market preparation, rather than just an exit process. Same discipline, delivered the Malaysian way.
Generally: employees losing their jobs through retrenchment, VSS or MSS (not resignation or dismissal for misconduct), who are Malaysian citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 to below 60, with at least 12 months of EIS contributions in the last 24 months. Eligibility and benefits are always subject to PERKESO's review. Importantly, applications must be made within 60 days of the last day of employment, which is exactly why early engagement matters.
Ideally before notices go out, so the transition briefing can be announced together with the news. It changes the entire tone of the exercise. That said, we can step in at any stage, including after last working days, as long as affected employees are still within their 60-day application window.
Completely. We regularly work with companies before any public announcement. Planning conversations, headcounts and timelines stay strictly between us, and we never reference client engagements publicly without written permission.
Almost none. That's the point. You introduce us to the affected staff and provide a venue or online link for the briefing. We handle the sessions, the guidance, the training, the scheduling, and the hundreds of individual questions in between.
No. DMC (Digital Marketing Consultancy Sdn Bhd) is a private company certified by PERKESO as a training provider under the Employment Insurance System (Sistem Insurans Pekerjaan). We help your employees navigate the official process, but all approvals and benefit decisions rest with PERKESO. The official EIS portal is eis.perkeso.gov.my.
